What is Four-String Fundamentals?
Section 1: Music Crash Course
We’ll begin by talking about how to get a good tone out of our hands. Then we’ll jump into a fundamental understanding of music theory and how scales and chords work together to help us understand the layout and patterns of the fretboard.
Section 2: Finding the Groove
We’ll talk about how to listen to and play with a drummer, and discuss different rhythm concepts. Then we will combine our rhythmic and harmonic understanding to identify and play along with different types of chord progressions.
Section 3: Song Application
Finally, I share my thought process on writing bass lines using examples of songs I actually played on in the recording studio.
What Will You Get from This Course?
By the end of this course you will have a firm grasp on bass technique, the layout of the fretboard, and basic music theory. You will be able to find the groove with a drummer and be able to recognize and play along with common chord progressions.
